"Green, blue, red, yellow..." Baby Davenport walked back and forth looking at all the colors of paint. She needed to get some, but couldn't find the brand she was use to using. She picked up a tube and red the label. She was really particular about her paints.
"Did you find them yet?" she jumped about fifty feet in the air when Sebastian appeared out of no where. She turned to smack her step-brother's arm.
"No, I'll be done in a bit, go get your crap." She pushed him away to get his own supplies. The Davenport-Ceccarelli family was a very artistic one, and they loved it. Sebastian held up the stuff he needed for his project, ready to go.
"Just because you're slow..." He teased. Baby stuck her tongue out at him and grabbed a few tubes of paint. The pair headed for the check out, but stopped, deciding to look at the train set that was in the middle of the store. it was glaorious thing, with little people, and towns. Tiny trees dotted the landscape. It was breath-taking for people like them who understood how much time and effort, and heart it took to do something like that.

Julianne nibbled her bottom lip, trying to find her favorite metallic paint. True, Julianne wasn't one to be usually found in an art store, but she was on one of her more creative kicks, and felt the urge to make a plaster mask, like she did back in the seventh grade. Crossing her arms over her chest, Julianne scanned the shelves of the special paint, trying to find the fire red shade she was looking for. Running a hand through her tousled blonde curls, Jules moved down the aisle, still trying to find the right shade. She was just about to give up, when out of the corner of her pretty blue eyes, she saw one of her close friends, Sebastian, and his younger sister, Baby.
Realizing that she was right in front of the paint she needed, she grabbed it off the shelf, and decided to go and say hello to her friends. Biting her lip, she fought back the giddy smile that was making it's way onto her face. No one knew, but Jules was majorly crushing on Sebastian, and Julianne wanted to make sure that no one knew. Brushing back a strand of pale blond hair that had made it's way into Julianne's eyes, she almost skipped the last few steps over to her friend. "Hey!" Julianne said, happily, as she approached them.
Turning to see what they were looking at, Julianne saw a small train set, that was, in one word, gorgeous. It was perfect landscaping, beautiful bulidings, and she could tell that it had taken a lot of hard work to build it. "Pretty, huh?" Jules asked, with a small, secret smile at Sebastian.

the Pair turned when they heard a voice and Sebastian grinned at Julianne. "Incredible. It had to have taken days... weeks... I don't know how long."[/i] Baby looked back and forth between Sebastian and Jules. "Hey... I'm supposed to meet Belles down... somewhere else, so I'll see you later." She knew Sebastian had a crush on Julianne, she heard him talking to Vanessa about it when Nessa was about a year old. That was how Sebastian got things out, he told Vanessa, until she learned to talk at least. Sebastian said goodbye to Baby and she hurried out.
"So, Julianne in an art store. Take a wrong turn?" He joked, shifting his stuff to the other arm. He knew she wasn't really into things like that, but that made her interesting, and he wasn't competeing with her in some of the competitions, like he had with girls in the past. He smiled at her and pushed his hair out of his eyes. He started for the front of the store so he could pay for his stuff, reaching into his back pocket for his wallet.
Like most of Sebastian's stuff, it wasn't fancy, Baby had actually made it for him a few years before. What money he did have came from his mom who sent him a check a few times a year and gave him a credit card for the essentials, art supplies for example.

Julianne stuck out her tounge, playfully. "Psh... You wish. I'm working on my latest masterpiece entitled 'This Shall Be A Very Horrible Mask Until Julianne Gives Up And Finds Something Else To Work On,'" Julianne replied, grinning, holding up the paint. She kept up with him as they walked near the cash registers, but tripped over a folded rug. "Dammit!" Julianne cursed, as she went flying, her hand coming up to her mouth after cussing, an old habit she'd never been able to break. However, she did end up breaking the jar of paint, which shattered on the white floor, the sparkly red oozing out onto the ground. Julianne sighed, and said, "Just my luck."
Her favorite dark, blue jeans were now splattered with paint, along with a shirt she'd had since she was about twelve, and her brand new shoes. Julianne didn't really care about that, but more to the fact that she'd managed to look like a total idiot in front of not only Sebastian, but a hell of a lot of other people too, which made Jules feel like the tiniest person on the whole planet. Standing up, after sitting on the ground, dumbfounded, for five minutes, Julianne bit her lip, hard, to keep the embarrassed tears from coming.
As the manager of the store began cleaning up the mess, Julianne grabbed enough money to pay for the paint out of her pocket, and handed it to the manager, who gave her the 'Oh, how embarrassing!' look. With a sigh, Julianne turned back to Sebastian and said, "I am klutzilla. Beware of me tripping." with a small smile.

Sebastian laughed. "Very creative name." He nodded, not noticing as she tripped, until he heard the paint hit the ground. He whipped his head around and winced hwen he saw her. "ow, are you okay?" He asked, concerned. He walked back, being careful not to step in the paint and looked her up and down.
"If only it were Christmas, you'd be very festive." He grinned. "Jules, I've known you long enough to already beware of you." He teased. "If you need more paint I can steal some of Baby's she's got a ton." He offered. He couldn't really afford to buy her any, and didn't know if she had enough to buy another jar.
"So, are you stickin with the holiday look or what?" He asked, looking her up and down. He did it, half because of the paint, and halfbecause well, itwas a chance to check her out without it really being... noticable.

Julianne smiled at Sebastian's kind offers. "Thanks, but no thanks. I'll just find something non-breakable to occupy my time later," Julianne replied, blowing her hair out of her eyes again. She realized that her hands were covered in the paint, and she smirked to herself. "Me? Holidays? Really?" Jules said, stepping closer to Sebastian. With a grin, she placed her paint-coated hands on Sebastian's shoulders, getting the paint on him too. "Guess I'm not the only one whose going for the holiday look," She commented, with a sly smile, knowing that what she did was silly, but she didn't care. She was just happy for an excuse to touch him.
"Oh the joys of tripping and red paint," Jules said, wiping her hands on her jeans, smearing the paint. She really needed to change, but she didn't care if she was covered in paint or not, since she was with Sebastian. Hell, she would've enjoyed being with him if she was dressed like a clown. ”What’dya say we get out of here and get cleaned up? We look a little crazy right now,” Jules suggested tugging at the hem of her shirt.

Sebastian smiled. "Too Bad, I was looking forward to seeing the mask. Besides, Baby uses tubes, not jars. Tubes are less likely to break." He pointed out. He had to resist the urge to reach out and move her hair out of her eyes, but he didn't have to worry abnout it long, because she plopped her paint covered hands on his shoulders. He glanced at the handprints on his tee shirt and looked at her, "And you get to tell my dad why his shirt now has two Jules sized handprints on it." He teased, playing and heading out of the store.
"So did you drive here?" If she had he'd ride with her and Baby could drive the car home, she wasn't technically allowed, but she was a good driver. If Jules hadn't driven here he'd drive her home and Baby could catch a ride with Annabelle.

"Oh, I can only imagine what your dad would say," Julianne replied, with smile. The two were getting fairly strange looks from other people, who were probably wondering as to why they were covered in paint, but Jules didn't care. "Oh, I just walked... I, uh, kinda sorta backed my car up into a light pole..." Julianne said, sheepishly. It was the third time she had backed her car into something in the past month, and everyone was fairly surprised her liscence hadn't been revoked by now. "Needless to say, I probably won't be driving for a while. Or until I take my sister's car keys," Julianne said, with a grin.
As they reached the parking lot, the cool, gentle, November wind blew Jules's hair a bit, and her dark blue eyes scanned the parking lot for Sebastian's car. "Remember where your car's parked?" Julianne asked after a moment. Pulling her light jacket tighter, Julianne's teeth chattered. True, it wasn't too incredibly cold outside, but Julianne was more of a summer person, and considered anything under fifty degrees freezing.

"Actually he probably won't care. He'll be more irritated with me for stealing the shirt in the first place." Sebastian grinned. His dad wasn't really concerned with clothes, he lived life in tee shirts and old jeans and shorts. Sebastian pulled out his cell phone and dialed. "Hey Babs, I'm heaing out with Jules, if you need a ride bum one from Annabelle. Adios." He hung up and shoved the phone into his pocket.
"I parked... that way." He pointed. it didn't take long to find the rusted piece of crap that was his car. His mom had sent enough money to buy a really nice one, but he ended up getting a small crappy one than blowing the rest of the money on a new camera. That's right, Sebastian Jonathan Ceccarelli was a photographer.

"Just hope the paint is washable, but I doubt it is," Julianne replied, with a shrug. She didn't really mind that her clothes were pretty much ruined. If worst came to worst, she could always just splatter more paint on them. After they spotted Sebastian's car, Julianne bit down on her lip again, and hoped that they didn’t have to go straight back to their homes. She wanted to spend just a little more time with Sebastian…
”So tell me, how’s the photography going?”Jules asked after a brief pause. Unlike some people, Julianne was actually genuinely interested. She loved photography, and how it could capture the perfect moment in time, but the bad thing was that she was absolutely horrible at it. So, with that said, she enjoyed looking at Sebastian's photography every chance she got, just to see what beautiful images he had.

"Probably not. most paints there aren't washable. Your skin will be red for a while too... until you use like.... steel wool." He knew how much of a pain it was to get some paints from your skin. You'd be better off just waiting for it to fade on it's own. He opened the door for Jules and then went around to his side of the car. Getting the Driver's side door open was tricky, you had to jiggle it the right way and twist it to a certain angle... very few people managed to get into his car.
He got in and started the engine. "Oh it's doing great. Except when Nessa opens the door to my dark room. " The nearly three year old had a horrible habit of walking to rooms when she should and had ruined quite a few of his pictures. He loved the runt, but he was sorely tempted to lock her in a cage until she couldn't get out. "How's the family?" He asked her, backing out of his parking space.

"Steel wool? Ouch." Julianne replied, looking at her hands. She didn't really want to have to rub her hands raw, and considering how painful that just sounded, Jules figured she was best to just let it be, and hopefully it would eventually fade. Opening up the side door to Sebastian's car, she stepped in the car, almost tripping over the side, but luckily, she was able to catch herself in time. Sitting down in the familiar car, she yanked the seatbelt down, knowing if she didn't yank it hard, it would stick. Thankfully, she had at least some strength in her arm, or she wouldn't have been able to do it.
Julianne thought for a moment, before answering Sebastian's question. "Well... Claire is just... Claire. Been up to the same old tricks, I guess. Been hanging out with Noelle even more than usual... Mom's head over heels in love with her new husband... And when I last visited Dad, he still wasn't over the divorce... So yeah... If that tells you anything..." Jules finally said. Things weren't very good in her family at the moment, and Jules preferred to stay out of everyone's way, than get stuck in the middle of it all. [/font]

Sebastian nodded, "Ask Baby to show you her left arm. She is multicolored." He grinned. Granted there was rarely a time when his step sister's pale skin wasn't dotted with different colors. He jumped when his cell phone rang and he pulled it out, putting it to his ear. "Hey Baby. Yeah I'm taking Jules home there was an incident with a rug and a jar of paint. Have Annabelle take you home. Yeah, okay, bye." he rolled his eyes and dropped the phone in the little change tray. "She's off her rocker."
He listened to her talk about her family and nodded sympathically. If anyone knew family drama it was him, especially with his over aged party girl mother in the tabloids on a regular basis. "Better than her hating her husband though... So I was thinking, we can stop by my place so I can drop off my stuff and change, Nessa's been asking about you anyway. She loves to see her Juwie. Then Maybe go to you house and... hang out or something." Okay, so it was rude to invite himself over, but he was hoping Jules woulnd't mind.

"Well then I guess it's Nessa's lucky day," Julianne replied, with a smile. She loved Sebastian's little sister, so in a way it made up for her own dysfunctional family. "And let's just hope that it isn't a battleground at my house... Just be prepared for anything. Especially my mother and her latest phase..." Jules paused for dramatic effect. "Gourmet cooking." She said in her most dramatic voice. Her mother was known for her wacky phases, and considering the fact that Mrs. Lyons did not have a single cooking bone in her entire body, it was almost scary to eat at the dinner table in the Lyons household.
As the car got closer to Sebastian's house, Jules leaned against the door, a habit that her mother claimed to be dangerous, since supposedly the door could fly open at any moment, but Jules didn't care. The images outside the car flew past, from kids playing basketball in the street, to the trees swaying in the gentle breeze. "How's Annabelle doing? I haven't seen her in a while," Julianne asked after a few beats of silence. She was somewhat friends with Annabelle, but she knew that Sebastian was better friends with Annabelle.

Sebastian grinned. "Better than my house. Unless you like the loud screeching noises of an 'artist at work'. Dad's doing metal scupltures again." He shrugged. "And Kat's doing Glass, as usual." Kat, Sebastian's step mother, had been a glass artist for several years and made quite a living off it. The only thing was, the sound of the glass cutter was excruciating.
He turned onto their street and shrugged. "Annabelle's fine She's still got that stupid video camera attached to her hand and she won't stop filiming, ever."[/n] Sebastian rolled his eyes and parked in the driveway. The Davenport-Ceccarelli home was on the beach and probably considered a hazard if too many people stuffed in there. It use to be a mom and pop shrimp shack, but the owners retired and gave Kat and John and pretty good deal on it. The thing was, it was about ten feet off the ground and probably not the best place to raise a child, but hey, it was still a cool house. Sebastian got out and headed for the stairs, waiting for Jules.
