It was another boring day on the set of London Calling. Skyler had just gotten out of hair and makeup, and was preparing for the director to call her out onto the sound stage, in her role as Lola, the crazy, ditz, and random girl. Picking up her script off of the small table in her dressing room, Skyler flipped to the correct page, and went over her lines one last time, so that she knew what she was supposed to do, and so she hopefully didn't mess up. Her eyes glanced over the script, pausing every time they met the purple highlighter, signaling her part.
Skyler shifted on the comfortable leather couch, and placed her blue converse-covered feet on the table, knowing that if her manager/publicist Laney walked in at the moment, she would get ratted out for 'possibly damaging the furniture'. Whatever. Skyler didn't care. Hell, if she wanted to, Jules could quit the show, and still be the richest one out of all of her cast mates, courteous of her old Hollywood family members, like Marilyn Monroe on her mother's side, and Audrey Hepburn on her father's side.
"JULES! SET!" The director called, and Sky stood up, and adjusted her pink scarf, and tugged her mini skirt down, that had crept up while she was sitting, not exactly wanting to moon the rest of the cast and crew. Throwing her script down, Skyler walked over to the heavy wooden door that had her name engraved on it, and shut it, hearing a satisfying click behind her.
Skyler put on a cheery smile, as she made her way onto the set, and she prepared to have orders barked at her, like usual. She heard a few hellos as she made her way to her spot, in Lola's 'bedroom', in the 'window seat'. She had heard that there was a guest star in today's episode, but she wasn't sure. With a sigh, Sky sat down, and mentally went over her lines.
Sky was lost in her own little world, when Alyssa, or shall we say 'Claire' walked out onto the set, startling Skyler. The director must've mistaken Skyler's jump for her character's, because he called out "Brilliant!" in a cheesy British accent, that was so fake, and Sky had to fight the urge to laugh randomly, which for some reason happened quite often. Still, she knew it was the signal that she needed to speak in her polished fake British accent. "Claire! OhmyeffingGawd!" Skyler cried out, at seeing Alyssa.
"Cut, cut, cut! Skyler, use more emotion! She's your best friend! You haven't seen her in forever! EMOTION!" The director called, and Sky mentally back sassed him. Emotion, right? What do you want me to start sobbing or something? God your such an effing retard! Skyler thought, rolling her deep blue eyes. But out loud, she just said, "Sorry. Emotion. Right." The director nodded. "Good. Now, Amanda, let's start over," He said, calling Alyssa the wrong name.
Sky was ready this time, so when it was her turn, she pretend to totally shocked. "CLAIRE! OhmyeffingGawd!" She repeated, her jaw dropping, with a gasp. Sky got up from her seat, and went to hug Alyssa, or Claire, waiting for Alyssa to say her lines. Skyler racked her brain for her next line, but drew a blank. Deciding to make something up on the spot, Sky said, "You look amazing, dah-ling! And wowza, your hair! It's so gorgey!" She tried not to laugh at how materialistic she sounded, but knew she shouldn't.
"CUT! CUT! CUUUUUT!" The director screamed, obviously pissed. "Skyler, Allison, USE THE RIGHT LINES! THIS IS WHY WE HAVE A SCRIPT! JANIE! COFFEE!" He screeched, again misting Alyssa's name, and yelling at his assistant. "WE'RE TAKING TEN!" He decided, shooing the girls off the stage. Skyler grabbed a chocolate chip cookie off of a nearby table, and turned to Alyssa, and said, "Sorry. He's a bit... mental." Biting off the edge of the cookie, she added, "Oh, I'm Skyler, by the way,"
