Chapter 1:
Hello, my name is Gabriella Summers and this is my story. I was born back in 1986,The current year is 2006 so if you want to know my age, just do the math. I grew up in California with a mother who always pushed me, and a father who always encouraged me to go the extra mile, "no stress though" he'd always say. No stress? How can you be stress less when you stride to be an A+ student and Mrs. America? Or should I say Mrs. Sunshine? Yes, back in 91' I was enrolled in a toddler beauty pageant, and to think...I liked it! Ha, I was so young and nieve. To believe that I actually liked pageants at one time is to believe in Santa Claus, or the tooth fairy. You believe in it until the hard truth knocks your spirit down and changes your views on everything. When I was young enough to believe in such things I was happy and free, and then when I found out how stupid I was, I was crushed. I felt as if a billion blocks had knocked me down to the ground, I could barely stand on my own two feet. That was years ago though, I am not that innocent little cupcake anymore, now I am a 'responsible adult.' What does that mean anyway? How do you know when your being responsible? Better yet how do you know when your an adult? I guess that's just it, you never know, your just put into that category. Just like in everything else, you are placed into a category. As a kid your either on Santa's naughty list or his nice list, as a teenager you are either a goody two shoes or a delinquent, as an adult your either mature or immature, it's always about judgement. Personally I think labels are ridiculous, nobody is ever bad all the time and nobody is ever perfect, labels are just there, waiting to be thrown out or waiting to lose their meanings. God, when labels lose their meanings the world will be that much closer to a peaceful state. I long for that peaceful state, I believe there will be peace on earth someday at Christmas, just like how that one song goes. "One day at Christmas men will be kind, no picking on the little ones of any kind, no more wars and no more deaths, only happiness, prosperity, and peace will be heard." How true is that? What is a better time for peace than at Christmas time? In case you have not figured it out by now, I am big with Christmas, as it is my favorite holiday, not just because of the gifts but because of its whole, deep meaning. By the end of my story hopefully you will grasp the concept that I've come to know as Christmas. So now that you know a little bit of background on me, let's begin the adventure that is my life. Watch your step and keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times.
