Derek arrived at Chuck E. Cheese. He grabbed a table and sat down. He looked at his watch. " Two fourty-seven. " Derek whispered to himself. He then started to listen to his iPod Nano as he awaited the presence of Lillian and her kids.

Glancing at the clock upon arrival into the kids resteraunt she realized she was practically on time, for once. Hailey ran through the doors and up to the Kid Check station where she put her wrist up to the employee to be stamped. Lillian followed close behind with Kylie in her stroller. Approaching the Kid Check station Lillian held her hand out to be stamped, and then held Kylie's wrist out to the employee. After being asked if it was anyone's birthday she replied, "No, just a day trip." before she was permitted through the gates and into the place. She stood next to an ice cream vending machine as she scanned the premise for any sight of Derek. "mommy, there!" Hailey yelled as she ran over to where Derek was seated.
Lillian followed, strolling past a few kids who ran in front of her. "Hello." she greeted Derek as she parked Kylie's stroller and knealed down to unbuckle her from her seat. Hailey immediatly asked for some tokens, "One second, we'll get some in a minute." she told her excited daughter. Kylie tottled over to her sister and pulled on her hair. "Be nice." Lillian warned before smiling back at Derek.

" Hi. How're you? " Derek asked. He wasn't the best person to start a conversation with, but he tried his best. He smiled back to Lillian, as she smiled to him.

It's about time he say something unrelated to that night. "Hey, I'm doing alright, how are you?" she asked him, her voice trying to overcome the loudness of this arcade resteraunt. She looked around, kids everywhere. A little boy in a blue striped shirt and his supposed sister in a pink striped shirt were climbing on some truck ride game and he had fallen and was now crying rather loudly. This caught her attention and she wondered where his parents were. Smiling, she felt relieved when a lady in a red shirt went to him and picked him up. He called her 'mommy' so Lillian knew he was fine.
Shaking that thought she jumped back into her conversation. Hailey, who was now growing impatient shook on her pant leg and reminded her of the promised tokens, "and pizza." she added. Kylie found her sisters shaking her mothers pant leg amusing so Kylie grabbed hold of her other pant leg and pulled on it. Lillian bent down and picked up her little one and headed towards the cashier to purchase the pizza and tokens. Hailey followed, signaling Derek to follow her mother.

" I'm good thanks. " Derek told her. " Oh, and thanks for inviting me. " Derek added. 'Thanks alot', he thought, smiling. You could probably tell he was happy because that night, wasn't too good. But atleast they're chemistry wasn't completely gone.
Derek saw Hailey motion him to follow. He thought that she was cute.... for a baby. Derek liked kids, and used to babysit. He stood up, and followed Lillian, Hailey and Kylie. He finally caught up to them.

As they waited in line, Lillian was pleased to see that Derek wasn't the type of guy who would sit down at the table while the rest of them played. She hated guys like that. She knew many guys like that, so Derek was a breath of fresh air. "Oh, your welcome. I appreciate you coming. This place gets pretty out of control sometimes, so it's nice to know I'm not on my own." she replied as the line didn't budge. "Slow service." she muttered under her breath.
Hailey took Derek hands, liking the fact that a father figure was with them. She loved her mother, but her mothers friends, especially her guy friends, added onto the fun. "so you like my mommy?" Hailey asked as Kylie sucked on her fingers.

" Oh no problem. I love kids. " Derek replied. Derek stood there. He knew the line wasn't going to budge for long, so he should pick up conversation. He thought.
Derek held Hailey's hand in his. It was so.... tiny! " Yes I like your mommy, I likeher very, very much. " He replied blushing. His cheeks were a dark pink. He looked at Hailey smiling, then looking up to Lillian, with the same, happy, smiling expression. He still held Hailey's hand in his.

Lillian blushed herself. It wasn't everyday she got a compliment like that. Okay, so maybe it was, but it wasn't her fault. She's a model for crying out loud. What do you expect? "i knew it, i'm so smartic" Hailey replied in her cute, look how adorable I can be, tone of voice. This made Lillian giggle. She looked up at Derek, "Well, I did invite you here so you must be not so bad looking yourself." she flirted, whether she meant to or not. There she goes again, living up to her Big Flirt reputation she's aquired over the years.

" Yes Hailey, your very smart. " Derek smiled at he looked at Hailey. It reminded him of his step sister who looked just like her. Derek looked to Lillian when she gave him the compliment. 'So, are we flirting now?' Derek thought to himself. Derek blushed as he rethought the compliment. " Well, you should look amazing for m to accept. " Derek put in, smiling to see what she would say.

Lillian smiled, "are we playing a game? Whose the best flirter? Or are we racing?" she teased him. "Oh, and if it is a game, I just want to let you know that your gonna lose." she commented, in a serious voice that still indicated that she was playing with him. As the line moved forward she looked up at the menu and scanned it for food choices. "Should we get a medium cheese or a large pepperoni?" she asked her kids and Derek. "cheese!" Haylie voted, "weeze!" Kylie cut in. "Cheese it is! That's alright with you, right?" she asked Derek with a smile that showed that she knew he'd be alright with it.

" I think it's a game. " Derek smiled. He paused, and thought. He couldn't believe he was flirting, and not blushing. Or was he blushing? Well, if he was, he sure couldn't feel it.
" Cheese is good with me. " Derek said. " I thoght Chuck E Cheese would only have cheese pizza, considering it's Chuck E Cheese. " Derek tried to make a joke, but he wasn't very good at that. He was the guy to flirt, as you can see, not joke. But maybe Lillian would laugh, and be nice, or just not laugh...

Finding his joke cheesier than ever, she politely laughed. "Well, the cheesiest jokes are the funniest ones in my book." she joked back. Finally, the line had discapaded and she was next. Approaching the cashier she was less than pleased to acknowledge no employee standing in front of her. She rang the bell and still nobody. "Hello? Customer here!" she shouted into the kitchen to which some manager answered. "Welcome to Chuck E.Cheese, can I offer you a combo this evening?" she said, "No thank you, I'd like one large cheese pizza, and one medium pepperoni. We'd also like two kiddie cups, and two adult promo cups and a side of fries please." she responded, placing their order. "That will be $28.35" the manager replied. Lillian placed her purse on the counter and reached for her wallet. She wondered if Derek was going to offer to pay or not, like any good gentlemen would.

Derek looked in his back pocket. Of course he was going to pay, and fight for it if Lillian wouldn't let him. He took his wallet out og his back pocket. He pulled out a twenty dollar bill, a five dollar bill, a loonie, and thirty five cents. If you added it up, it gave you $28.35. " Here. " Derek said, giving the money tp the cashier, before Lillian could, and smiled to Lillian. " Your lucky I'm being a gentleman. " Derek said. " 'Cause I only am with gentle... woman? " Derek was out of words, and made his own word up.
