Jack stood there on the sidewalk, no one else were passing him. It wasn't the best day for a stroll. The dark skies overhead signalled that rain would pour any second. But it didn't seem to bother him. His mind was preoccupied on other things. He was seriously contemplating if he should move. Although Fio seemed to like Ocean Springs, he sure wasn't enjoying it at the moment. Some how, his dad found out he was living there and he was a little uneasy about the people now. Since Lilly didn't seem to have an intrest in him anymore, and she was practically friends with everyone, it just didn't seem worth trying to talk to people anymore. Regularly, Jack would have just packed his things and left. But Fio was the only one holding him down. She enjoyed how the flowers grew well here, the usually sunny atmosphere, and she had made lots of friends at her school. Jack couldn't seem to be bothered with the problems though and just stood infront of a wooden bench. Usually the bench would have a couple of mothers watching their children play on the playground ahead of it. But today, it looked like rain and no mother would let their child play in the park.

Taking a decoy from Chuck E.Cheese to the park for an hour or so, Lillian and Hailey walked up to the playground, Kylie in her hands. Since the kids seemed to be begging to go to the park before they went to the resteraunt arcade, Lillian gave in and pulled up to the park, nearby their friendly childhood resteraunt. Partly because she didn't feel like fighting with her kids who outnumbered her, and partly because she felt like she needed some air. She felt like she needed some time to get away from everything and everyone. Her mind was on Jack and how she blew it with him at the banquet. She hasn't seen him since so she figured he was avoiding her. Imagine her suprise when she approached the park bench and saw him sitting there.
Being strong for her children she greeted him with a polite "Hello." and then set Kylie down on the ground so she and Hailey could go play. Little did she know that it was about to rain. Raising two children single handedly didn't leave much time to catch the news. She wondered how Gaby would ever survive with raising three, the one on the way included. But at least she had Justin, Lilly was by herself. Sure there were some guys, some kind, caring, loving guys, but none that her heart really wanted. There was only one guy she longed for and now he was done with her, she lost him. Yet he was standing right in front of her.

Jack turned to see Lillian. He felt and angry and nervous at the same time. Maybe a little happy to see her. Tried as he might, he couldn't seem to not like her. He stared at Lilly for a while and then whispered in a quiet tone, "Hello" back. She probably thought he was just another broken heart from her silly game she seemed to play. It was a dangerous one, and a painful one if you were on the losing side, Jack had come to realize.

Trying to avoid the bounded awkward situation, she pretended to watch her children play in the sand. To make it seem more realistic, she shouted out helpful mommy advice to them, things like "Don't get too dirty, and don't eat that!" Try as she might she could not avoid the awkwardness. As she pretended to watch her children she could feel Jack's eyes burning a hole in her. She finally gave up and decided to make small chat. "So....how have you been?" she asked him as casually as she could.
She felt so low, she knew she had hurt him, but she promised herself that she would go to the banquet with the first person to ask, this time David had snatched her first. Sure David was a nice guy, fun to be with at points, but he didn't have the same image Jack had that drew Lillian closer. There was just no sparks between David and her, but with Jack and Lillian, you could start a camp fire.

Jack stared straight ahead, looking at the playground equipment. He could see Lilly's children out of the corner of his eye, but that was it. His white button-up shirt, that had a dark green t-shirt underneath, had it's sleeve's partly scrunched up from his hands being in his jean pockets. "I've been fine," he lied without blinking or anything. He never took his eyes off the spot from playground.
