Welcome to the Rose Banquet

Derek smiled as he and Lillian danced. 'Maybe we are ment to be.' He danced with her, like no one else was in the room. He couldn't wait for a slow song. It would be exciting, because Derek never had a girlfriend before...

Gabby sat at a table alone. She was kind of shy, so she didn't ask anyone to the banquet which was ashame. She took a sip of her beer, and smield, pretending not to be lonely.

May smiled, it was nice to hear a compliment once in a while. She reached and grabbed his hands as the song ended. "Now it's your turn, what do you want to do?"

David smiled. "I'm only here to entertain you remember?" he joked with May. "Whatever you want my dear." he added. "Want to get some food? Or dance more? It really doens't matter. I'm pretty easygoing." he said, suggesting things to her.

May nodded, "I'm incredibly fine with whatever you want to do but I won't stand to do nothing asking 'well what do you want to do?' so let's at least pretend we're dancing," she said wrapping her arms around his neck. She smiled while looking into his face.

"All right then." he said, putting his arms back around her waist. Not alot of people had shown up so far. The DJ put the song "Le Disko" by Shiny Toy Guns on for the people to dance to. He smiled, still not recognizing a lot of American music, but he sure was trying to brush up on it.

May hadn't her the song before it sure did have a beat. It was more of a swing song but she wouldn't try and have David try swing dancing. She just smiled. May was more of the mellow music. "So, love, do you have a girlfriend back home or are you a free bird?" she asked. She wasn't sure if it was a weird question but asked it anyway.

David danced to the beat, but a bit slower, holding May. "Nah love. No girlfriend. I'm a free bird, for now." he replied to her, smiling. At the right moment in the song, David dipped May down and chuckled, bringing her back up.

May giggled she hugged him while still laughing. She lingered for a moment and then released her arms around him. She clapped her hands together and smiled, "I do indeed feel thirsty now," she annouced.

"Well then. I believe we must have to get something to drink." he said happily. David put his arm around her waist lightly and led her over to the table where they were serving appetizers and drinks.

May leaned her head against David a bit as they strolled. Once they got to the table she looked around for where she could find a drink. She walked over and poured some of the strange punch. She took a sip. It was bittersweet but would have to do. She turned to David, "So. Anything I should know about you? Murders, thievery, embezzlement?"

"Not lately. I've given that up for a while." he said, not doing a very good job of hiding thegrin on his face. "Nahh. I'm all clean." he said more seriously but still smiling. He poured himself soem of the bittersweet punch and asked, "What about you?"

Lillian continued dancing with Derek, "perhaps." she replied with a slight eye roll, one she was sure Derek didn't see. Don't get her wrong, she liked Derek...a lot, but she couldn't help but thinking about Jack, the guy she denied an invite to the banquet to with because he was too slow to ask her there. Oh well, Lillian knew Jack could easily be hers with time. But for now she felt pathetic, she almost felt as if she was using Derek to make Jack jelous so she could date him(Jack) after the banquet. Little did she understand that she was actually right.

Gabriella meanwhile sniffed her rose from Justin before placing it into the suvernior vases on each table top which was a good idea on the dance committee's part to keep the roses alive and thriving in their colors. Once the rose was placed into the cold ice vase she walked over to the beverage bar and got herself a nice ice tea, bringing back Justin a nice cup of cold water in high hopes that it would make him feel better. "Here you are baby." she told him as she placed the water in front of him, "straight water, no more alcohol for a while." she instructed him.

Justin nodded as he sipped the cold water. He sighed and set the cup down sielntly. He leaned over to HIS gaby and laid a big kiss on her lips as to say thanks. He sat back on his chair and watched as the many people danced. " Wanna dance, My love?" He laughed and grabbed gabys hand.

Naturally Gaby kissed back and smiled at his offer to dance, "I thought you'd never ask." she replied as she was pulled away into the dance floor. She wrapped her arms around her Justin and began dancing. Fortunatly a slow song played, coincidentally it was the song Gaby had been thinking about as their wedding song, "Your the Inspiration" by Chicago. She leaned her head on his shoulder as they swayed to the music. "You know, I've been thinking..." she whispered in his ear, "that we should set our wedding date." she finished, looking into his eyes.

Justin smilied and put her arms around her waist and pulled her closer," Uh...Whenever you wish hun..." He was thinking about the first real dance him and Gaby would share together as a newly wed couple. The thought drifted throught his mind for awhile untill thge door to the building shot open.A soggy wet and cold Erika sdtood there breathing heavily.
