Coco had always loved the beach. Ever since she was little, she loved to come to the beach and relax, and let go of her troubles. She would probably live on the beach if she could. So that's why, one early morning, she dragged herself, and her sister, Whitney, out of bed, so they could spend the day in the sun.
As Coco neared the beach in her new truck that she recently got for her 16th birthday, she felt a lot happier than she had recently been. Slamming the door on her truck, she stripped down to her swim suit, and called "Last one to the beach pays for everything today!" To her sister, and ran down to the water.

If there was one thing Kirsten loved more than shopping, it was going to the shore for the day. At her old home, she would only get the chance to do this once or twice during the whole summer, but ever since she moved here with her older sister and little niece, she could go to the beach whenever she wanted, since it was practically right down the street. A large smile could be spotted on this girl as she ran down the sandy shore-line, her feet just barely touching the water. She loved to watch the little crabs bury into the wet sand before the next wave came and crashed along the line. She always wondered just how deep could they go?
For her attire, she decided to where her orange creamsicle bikini set, with matching orange and white flip flops. She laughed as she listened to two girls racing down the shore, sisters...she presumed. They looked to be about her age, so she flashed a friendly smile at them before sitting down in her beach chair, also located by the shore-line. She felt the heat rays beaming down on her un-protected skin. She pondered over whether or not she should take the chance of not applying any sunblock, in hopes of getting a nice tan. But then again, she didn't want to risk getting serious sunburn either. And then again, she didn't want to apply too much sunblock and not get any color at all.

Coco saw a girl about her age, turned to her sister and said "Let's go say hi." Whitney, who was panting from the run, just nodded and made the one minute sign. Walking over to the girl, Coco said, "I'm Coco, and the panting girl here is my sister Whitney," She said, offering a smile.

Kirsten was suprised when the two girls came over and greeted her, "Hey, I'm Kirsten. Nice to meet you, are you new here?"[/b], she questioned with a friendly smile, "I'm kinda new here...", she then explained. She took out her sun lotion, and began applying it in small proportions, hoping to not entirely block the sun.

"Yeah, we just moved here a week or so ago," Whitney said. "When did you move here?" Coco asked Kristen. Coco had a sudden craving for her favorite New Jersey snack: Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cooke Dough ice cream. Everyone back in New Jersey always teased her for liking such an odd flavor of ice cream.

Molly had woken up that morning to the sun shining on her face. When she woke up like that it always meant, time to surf. So she'd gotten into a wet suit, pulled out her board and surfed, she'd been up since early morning and was finally getting a little winded. She ran a hand over her salt water filled ponytail and started for the shower, trying to decide what to do with her board.
Eventually she gave up on the idea of showering on the beach and figured she'd just do it at home, eventually. She stopped when she saw a group of girls around her age, maybe a bit older. She walked over and stabbed her board into the ground. "Hey." She smiled. She didn't mind interrupting a conversation.

"Hey," Coco said to the new girl. "I"m Coco." "And I'm Whitney," Whitney added, glancing at her. She looked about Whitney's age. Whitney was probably the youngest of the group, being two years younger that Coco.

Kirsten was suprised to see how many people were arriving at the beach, "And I'm Kirsten"[/i], she replied to the new girl, "A week? Well welcome to Ocean Springs. I used to live here when I was younger but I moved, and now I live with my older sister back here."[/i], she explained as she shielded her eyes from the sun, "I wonder where I could get some cheap sunglasses around here.." she questioned.

"There's a surf shack down the beach," Coco offered. "I bet they have some there." Coco pulled her long blond hair into a low ponytail, and pushed her bangs off her forehead. Days like this made her wish she had shorter hair.

Molly looked at all three of them. "I'm Molly" She placed her hands on her hips. "Wow... was there a migration for california that I didn't hear about. Everyone I've seen recently just moved here." she commented. "Lived here all my life." She shrugged. She thought about it a moment before adding, "How are ya'll liking Ocean Springs? Yeah, I think the surf shop has them."

It was refreshing to talk to someone who haden't just moved here, " Glad to meet someone who didn't just move here. Haha, yeah I'll check the shack later."[/i], she remarked with a relieved smile. Then she turned to Coco, "So how did you find Ocean Springs. If I haden't of lived here before, I wouldn't have even seen it on the map.", she admitted.

"This was my mom's hometown or something." Coco said. Sudenly a boy with blond hair crept up behind her and placed his hands on her shoulders. Coco, of course screamed. "Reese! You scared me!" Reese just grinned at her. Whitney turned and mouthed to the others "They so like eachother."

Molly laughed and looked at the water, the water sparkled and looked amazing, she was sorely tempted... she shook her head and smiled at the others. "Hey... are you all staying late? There's usually a bonfire or something at night. She reached back to try and unzip her suit, she was starting to feel uncomfortable.

Kirsten lit up inside at the word bonfire, " Ooh a bonfire at the beach? I love bonfires, count me in!", she replied with a giggle. She zoned out for a moment when Reese walked up to one of the girls...she already forgot their names...all she could think about was how cute this Reese was. Sounds like he's taken though.

When Coco heard the word bonfire, she winced. She hated those because when she was younger, her parents had one and got a little too drunk... "I dunno if I'm staying that late..."Coco let her voice trail off, as she looked down the beach, ignoring everyone's gazes.
