Too Cold to Swim.

Aiden looked out into the ocean, the sun was shielded by white fluffly clouds that put a damper a bit on his trip. He wasn't there to tan, swim, or much of anything like that. Honestly, he'd never seen the ocean and since he was near it he had to see it. Aiden smiled and exhaled happily even though his cold breath could be seen infront of his face. It was early and vacant from most anyone else as far as he knew. He'd slept in his car, of course, and got up early to so it'd be a serene view.

Erika slammed her car door shut and walked out onto the beach. She sat down in the cool sand and took off her shoes and put her feet in the sand. Tears rolled down her cheek and landed on her legs. The sun was blocked by clouds so a cool breeze came by.

Aiden heard a car door slam, he wasn't far from the road. He turned to see an upset girl move onto the sand not far from himself, she was indeed crying. Aiden wasn't sure what to do he stared at her for a bit blinking then turned his head, but still looking at her.

Erika made a heart in the sand with her feet. She looked down, as she did the tears that remained on her cheeks rolled down into the heart. She bit her lip and closed her eyes, How more crappish could her life get?

Aiden opened his mouth to say something, but wasn't sure what to say. He made a strange sound and then closed his mouth. He looked down at his shoes, glancing at at the girl and the ocean every so often.

Erika looked out to the Ocean, it was beautiful. She looked at her engagment ring then to her pregnat stomach. She felt more tears fall down her cheeks.

Aiden bit his lower lip before speaking, "Tears are so last year," he said trying to be funny and make her feel better. He had no idea why she was upset and didn't know if she just wanted to be alone but he could try.

Erika turned around at the sound of a voice. She saw a boy sitting behind her. She smiled and laughed slightly. " I-I am sorry I didn't see you here." She got up. With her feet she earsed the heart from the sand.

Aiden held up his hands, "It's fine. I don't /own/ the beach," he said smiling. He was glad she laughed, making people happy made him feel good. Besides, she looked prettier happy than sad.

Erika held out a hand to him and said," I am Erika."She wipped a tear away with her other hand. She smiled at the boy and flug her hair behind her shoulder.

Aiden shook Erika's hand, "Aiden," he said kindly. "I was arrested by an officer named Erika once. Lovely girl," he said thinking a bit about it. He'd trespassed at a formal party, he'd gotten on stage and started playing. The old people weren't happy about it.

Erika laughed and said queitly," I bet she was happier than me." She looked up at Aiden and said,"What did you do?"

"Crashed a formal party and played on stage," he said shrugging. Aiden looked at Erika a little confused, "Now why would you be sad?"

"Uh...." She groaned. She closed her eyes and though to say. She opened them and said," Let's put it like this, I have a brother in the hospital and a dead fiance-sp?-"

Aiden nodded, "I'm sorry," he said patting her on the shoulder. "I don't think I can help you though," he said, "If there is though, I'd be happy to oblige."
