Jack shook his head, "No, not yet..." he said looking at Fio making sure she hadn't burnt herself. He saw that it must have been fine now he let it go. Fio looked at Gabby from Jack. "Papi, what kind of flower?" she asked. She loved flowers and was upset when she found out that she couldn't grow any in their appartment. "A rose, darling," Jack told his daughter.

" She's so cute. " Gabbrielle said, once again. " Wait, hold on. " Gabby said. He stood up, ran outside. The garden in from of Starbucks had a red flower. She grabbed it and ran inside. " Look Fio, this is the rose you give to someone. " She showed Fio. This is my chance, she thought.

Fio scoffed, "I /know/ what a rose is," she said pouting. She hated it when people acted like she was stupid just because she was young and foreign. Jack shook his head and took a sip of his drink. He stood up, "Excuse me, ladies," he said heading to the bathroom. Fio stared as he walked away and then turned to Gabby somewhat expecting her to say something.

" Sorry. " Gabby apologized, feeling bad. Gabbrielle smiled when Jack walked over to the bathroom. Gabby tried to find something to tell Fio, or ask her. She looked at the rose. It was so pretty. And plus, it was her favorite flower. " How old are you Fio? " Gabby asked her. Gabby found that Fio's english was pretty amazing.

"Five. I turn six on the 20th," she said flatly. Fio didn't have friends since she wasn't to start school until next year. She didn't expect a party or anything like she had in Italy.

" Cute. " Gabby told her. She bit her lip. " Okay, do you think I should ask jack to the Banquet with this rose? " Gabbrielle asked. She wasn't expecting a good answer, but atleast she tried, right? That's pretty much all that mattered. To her atleast.

Fio looked at the flower, "No. He just met you and the rose is a little ragged. I know that it's the rose that doesn't matter but still, it may come off as you don't care about the flower..." she said. Fio was very smart.

[GABRIELLEetDEREKetDIANA]

" Umm... okay. " Gabby said, leaning back into her chair. She waited for Jack to come back, as she thought of what Fio said. You could say Gabbrielle was confused, because she was.

Fio turned as Jack came out of the bathroom and headed them. She quickly turned around to Gabby, "It's sometimes better to think before you leap," she quietly, not even sure if Gabby heard her. Jack sat down, "I'm back," he annouced smiling at the two.

Gabby nodded at what Fio told her. Gabbrielle kind of felt sad inside, but she didn't want to show it. Gabby smiled when Jack returned to the table. She was getting annoyed by Fio. Because Fio seemed like a SmartyPants to her. Oh well, atleast she's cute.

Fio looked at Jack smiled back, "Welcome back, Papi," she said before finishing her hot chocolate. Jack nodded and looked at Gabby, "I think it's time for us to go. Would you excuse us, Gabby?"

Gabby smiled a weak smile. She didn't want them to go, btu she couldn't make them say. " Yes, your excused. " She told him. " I think I might stay for a little bit mroe then leave too. "

Jack nodded, "Thank you," he said. Fio got out of her chair and picked up her empty cup. Jack took his drink and sipped on it some. "Bye," he said waving and smiling to her as they walked away. Fio turned around and waved too before throwing the cup in the trash and they both walked out.
