Hungry Mouths to Feed

Gabriella pushed the double stroller through the automatic doors and into the super markert, with her good friend Lillian following behind with her kids in a double stroller as well. Gaby turned to Lillian and her kids and smiled. "Welcome to the Ocean Springs ACME, where we all get out weeks food souce" she kidded. Lillian smiled and said "Why thank you Gabriella. Come on Gaby, you know to call me Lilly, it sounds better" she explained, grabbin a role of paper towels. Gaby grabbed a roll as well. McKenzie and McKayla were happily sucking on their pacifiers, and Hailey (3) and Kylie(11 months) looked around the new place. "Momma, where we?" Hailey asked curiously. "At the food market" Lilly replied.

"Come onnnn~~!" moaned May, whom was clutching on the back of Lexx's shirt. "Just one cookie!" she cried. Lexx shook his head, "No." he said firmly. She'd already eaten a whole box that morning. No way he was getting her another to swallow whole. May pouted, releasing his shirt and crossing her arms. Lexx sighed and put a tin of coffee in his basket.

Gabriella and Lillian turned down the next isle, the coffee, tea, and beverages isle. They pushed the strollers down the isle, with the baskets on their arms, and each of them picked out a tin of coffee. Gaby picked Folgers, and Lillian picked Maxwell House brand. As they walked down the isle sharing stories of cute things their kids did, Gaby ran into two familiar faces. She waved the two of them, forgetting their names. She knew them from Leenas party.

May waved widely and bounded to Gabriella, "Gaby, right?! It's May!" she said cheerfully like a spastic chincilla. She looked at Lillian, "Who's this?" she asked curiously....not even noticing the children. Lexx waved lightly and stood behind May.

"Nice to see ya again May" Gaby greeted, waving again to Lexx once more. Before Gaby could introduce Lillian, Lillian introduced herself. Gaby: "Oh this is--" Lillian: Lillian, Lilly for short. Nice to meet you...May right? Yeah, well these are MY kids, Hailey shes three, and the little ones Kylie. She'd introduce herself but she cant talk well yet" Lillian joked. She extended an arm and put down her basket. Gaby smiled and headed a little farther down the isle and picked up some scented soaps.

May took Lilly's hand in more of a high-five/hand shake. She did it often and sometimes made people confused...course that's just how May was. Lexx smiled and waved to Lillian, "I'm Lexx. Nice to meet you Ms. Lilly," he said quietly. He said politely and outstretched his free arm. May knelt down to look at the children. "Aww," she said outloud.

Lillian smiled in a fliirty way at Lexx. She ran over to Gaby and asked her if Lexx was single. Gaby told her that she thinks Lexx is single, but she may be mistaken. Lilly nodded politely and walked back over to the two. "Nice to meet ya both." she remarked. She knealt by Mays sides and admired her children. "Thanks, I think so too." she said with a wink. She swung her long brunette hair over her shoulder and smiled at Lexx again, He was cute! "So, what are you guys here for?" she asked in attempt to make dialogue.

May hopped up, "Shopping of course! And Lexx won't let me get cookies!" she said like it was a crime. Lexx rolled his eyes, "Yeah, because you already ate a box," he said shifting his weight. "No, no! It was three fourths of a box," May corrected and crossed her arms and gave a noble kind of pose.

Gaby laughed. Lillian blushed. What a dumb question. Hello? In a grocery store there is only one thing to do and thats to shop. She was slightly embarassed. Hailey opened her big mouth and said "Mommy, is that future dad?" she whispered loudly into Lillys ear. Lillian blushed and told Hailey to pick any box of cookies she wanted. Gaby snickered softly in the corner, as she ease dropped into her friends convo.

Lexx squinted at Gaby and Lillian with a sly smile, "Kids? Always want sweets." May punched him in the arm playfully. "Hey-hey, caffiene addict! You don't see me docking you of your high," she said putting her hands on her hips. He stuck his tongue out at May, "Yeah, but I'm paying for this junk."

Lillian found herself staring at Lexx as if she was hypnotized by his eyes. She didnt even realize she was staring at him until Gaby pinched her, which resulted in Lillian being even more embarassed. "Well...uh nice meeting you...*gulp* two..I'll catch ya later..come on Hailey" she called, trying to get a quick runaway. Gaby smiled at the way the conversation went and waved the two good bye. Just as she was turning down the isle, Lillian (who was following close behind) accidentally knocked down a whole stack of soup cans. "This is officially the most embarrasing day of my life" she told Gaby with a sigh. The sound of the cans hitting the ground woke the twins up, who both needed to be changed. Gaby took them into the bathroom to change their diapers, while Lillian and Hailey began stacking cans. Kylie reached for some cans, she wanted to help too.

Lexx turned to the cans and sat the basket down and walked over to help. May were busy reading the back of a can of coffee so she could torment Lexx with all the ingredients later. "You sure do seem distracted, Ms. Lillian," he said to picking up a few cans that rolled away from the bunch. Lexx smiled at Lilly, "You should be more careful, you wouldn't want one of your lovely daughters to get hurt."

Lillian blushed at Lexxs comment. Miss Lillian? She liked the sound of that. If only she could aspire to be Mrs. Lillian...whatever his last name was. "I'll be more careful next time" she replied, tucking her hair behind her ear. Gaby walked off, leaving the two love birds alone.

Lexx stacked the last can and smiled, "There we go," he said picking up his basket and stood up. "Nice seeing you again Ms. Gabriella, nice to meet you Ms. Lillian," he said walking around the corner to keep May from opening a box of cookies so they would have to buy it.

Lillian waved him good bye. Oh, Ms. Gabriella? She thought he was giving her a pet name, turns out thats just what he said. *sigh* Lillian walked up to Gabriella. "So..?" Gaby asked. "Nadda." Lillian replied as she grabbed a box of crackers. "Oh" Gaby replied smally. McKenzie and McKayla reached for a box of animal crackers. "No, no sweeties, we have those" she told them as if they could speak back.
