Finally it was Black Friday, the best shopping day of the year. Eva had the day all to herself for pure Christmas shopping for her family and friends. She started the day at 5am when she awoke from her bed. Then a half hour later she was showered, dressed, and getting ready to get in her car to head to the mall and begin all the shopping. Ten minutes after that she found herself at a Dunkin Donuts drive through window ordering a latte and a chocolate donut for breakfast. She paid and headed for the mall. She was pleased to see that there was no traffic at such an early time, but she knew that would be different later. At aproximatly 6am she pulled up to the mall and waited by the door with twenty other woman while they waited for the mall to open. Not long after that she was inside the mall, running around in and out through stores. Within the first hour there she had bought 8 items, all of which were large and heavy in the many bags dangling from her arms.

Matt scowled as he entered the mall carrying the boys. The baseball game had been canceled because of rain, though they usually weren't, so he and Tony drove back to the mall. Matt had Jackie asleep in his arms, and Jaime was hanging onto his Uncle Tony's arm. Jaime loved the mall. Matt figured he should get some shopping done, even though it was Black Friday, because he knew just what he wanted to get Nika. So here he was in the mall, with his kids and little brother.
"Ow, bloody hell," Matt cursed as he literally ran into a woman carrying eight bags.

Eva then headed for the next store, stopping in between to flip a penny that was on tails. She always did this, she figured that by flipping the unlucky penny onto heads would make it lucky for someone else. As she bent down to do so,some man and his kids ran into her, knocking her onto the floor in reaction which caused her to drop her bags that then spilled out the presents. "S-sorry" she apologized to the man as she sat up and gathered some of her things. "I should've looked where I was going, I really am sorry. Is everyone alright?" she asked, taking the blame since she thought it was her fault for stopping so unwarnly.

"Yeah," Matt muttered to the stuttering brunette, checking his son who hadn't even woken up. Tony had stopped a few feet away when he heard Matt, Jaime still bouncing up and down like a nut. "Yeah, we're fine," he said, looking at the girl and thinking that he had seen her somewhere before, though he couldn't remember where. He ignored the pain in his foot, where the girl's high heel had stepped on his toes.

Eva sighed as she attempted to stand up, but failed in doing so. She tried to ignore the throbbing pain in her ankle, but finally had enough so she grabbed her ankle and dragged herself over to a nearby bench where she propped herself up. Most of her items were back in the bags, but a few items were still laying on the ground. She hadent had a chance to pick them up since her ankle was hurting her. She was glad to see that the mans sons were okay. "Beautiful kids you have there" she complimented him as she gently massaged her ankle that was beginning to swell up.

"Thanks," Matt said. He noticed Tony eyeing up the woman, "Hey, do you need help with that ankle of yours," Tony asked the girl. Tony spoke in a more refined accent than his brother, Matt spoke more like he was from Whitechapel than the heart of London, and Tony more like an aristocrat from Victorian britian. He noticed his brother's blue eyes wouldn't leave the girl. He also stared at her, he couldn't shake the feeling that he had seen her somewhere before, somewhere he went with Nika maybe?

Eva shook her head, not wanting to ruin the other mens family shopping spree. "No, ouch..I'll be okay, dont let me ruin your day" she replied to them as she let go of her ankle and attempted to stand up again, just to fall flat on her butt. "Ouch!" she yelled softly. "Really, I'll be...*gulp* okay" she remarked through pain. Maybe she did need help, but she didnt want to interfere with the others shopping day. Afterall, they'd never hit such good sales again this holiday. As she sat there on the ground she noticed that the blue eyed boy was staring at her with a very welcoming and cute smile. He was cute, hopefully he was single..even though Eva knew how afraid she was of dating and commitment. She also saw that the slightly older man..his brother perhaps? was looking at her in a 'let me help' glare.

"It's okay, are day has already gone to hell, and you look like you really need help with that ankle of yours," Matt said. "Let my brother help you, I can go get my fiance's present later, it ain't going anywhere." Tony really looked like he wanted to put his arms around the girls waist and help her steady her ankle. Jaime was looking at her with a smile, "I seen you before," he said.

"No, no really I'm--" she paused, her ankle was now turning purple and the pain was overwhelming. "Maybe I do need some help afterall" she said as she attempted to fight the pain. She was caught off guard when Jaime recognized her. "Come to think of it, you do look familair. Arent you Gabys friends son, uh..whats her name? Nika? Yes, arent you Nikas son?" she asked Jaime, realizing that Matt was Nikas husband. "And your Matt arent you?" she asked Matt with a smile. She reached for Tonys shoulder so she could stabalize herself. "I appreciate this, thank you" she told them.

Tony smiled and wrapped his arm around the girl's waist, "It's okay, it's isn't a hardship, you know Nika," the younger brother asked. Matt was thinking, 'that's right I did see her before, at that thanksgiving thing Nika dragged me to. Jaime was answering Eva exictadly, "Your right, your right." Matt noticed the look his brother was giving Eva, he looked half in love. Matt knew that the men in their family fell fast for the girl they wanted to be with, and they always stayed in love with them. He had fallen for Nika the second she had said she was going to break his arm if he dropped another book on her head, and the next day when she brought him cookies, he knew she was the one he was going to spend the rest of his life with. He hoped Tony knew what he was doing.

Eva was in awe of the kindness of Matts brother. He was so charming, and so very cute. She never felt so comfortable with a boy before, but with Matts brother it was all so easy. "I'm Eva by the way" she introduced herself, giggling softy at Jaimes excitement of the recognization as she looked into Tonys eyes, seeing that he really was a good guy. She smiled at him, blushing slightly.

"Tony Dawson, at you service. After all, it was my brother's big feet that got you into this mess," Tony teased, feeling his brother's indiginant glare on his back. Jackie started crying and Matt started to rumage around in the stroller looking for Jackie's bottle. Tony picked up Jaime, the bouncing boy, with one arm, "And this little hellion is Jaime."

"Nice to meet you Tony Dawson" she kidded by using his last name(which was how he introduced herself) "In that case...I am Eva Solice. And nice to see you again Matt" she remarked. When Tony introduced Jaime Eva replied "Yes, We've met, how are you buddy?" she asked Jaime. Eva looked into Tonys eyes again. She couldnt help it, each time she looked away she was forced back into his deep blue eyes, as if some magnetic force was at work. He had lovely eyes, she hoped she wasnt too obvious. She blushed again, not meaning to.

'I good, we got turkey yesterday," Jaime blathered on, not noticing his uncle and the nice ladies looks at each other. Tony couldn't help but stare at Eva's beautiful face, he thought he had never seen any one more lovely. While Jaime didn't notice, Matt did, and he took pity on his brother, placing Jackie in the shoulder, and taking Jaime out of the one arm Tony was holding him in. "Hey, Tony is it okay if you stay with Eva here and me and the kids go into the store down there, it's the store I want to buy Nika's present from," he asked his brother. Tony nodded.

Eva felt a strong temptation come over her when Matt and the kids left. She was very tempted to kiss this cute gentlemen, she wanted Tony and it scared her. She looked into his eyes again hopelessly lost inside him. One part of her wanted to commit to him and just be happy being his girl, but the other side was afraid to be with him a minute longer in fear of what she may do, in fear of her falling to far for him. Remember, she is very afraid of falling in love, very afraid of getting her heart broken, very afraid of making a family of her own, very afraid of being someones forever. She didnt know what would happen with her and Tony in the future but she knew there was strong chemistry between the two, she didnt know how she could ever just forget him. She was stuck, was she already in love? Was she about to believe in love at first sight? Or was she just falling into his trap...was he lonely and looking to get into her pants? She didnt know, she didnt think that last thought was the case, but you never know in the present world.
